I have an Apple Data Modem 2400. I also am trying to use Apple's
Communication Toolbox. I have tried just about everything to get
that modem to work more than half of the time. Right now it will
connect about a fifth of the time. Usually it just says "Timed out while
Trying to make connection." It will work 100% of the time if I choose
serial tool and do everything by hand. This also is with two
different modems on three different machines. So my best guess is that
something in the Comm. Toolbox is a little quick to timeout.
