[comp.sys.mac.comm] Ethernet for the Mac Classic

paul@aucs.AcadiaU.ca (Paul Steele) (02/01/91)

What is the status of internal ethernet cards for the Mac Classic. We
had been buying Emac ethernet cards for our Mac SE's but since Apple
stripped all the useful expansion capabilities out of the Classic we're
now in a jam for our new users. I know we could always go with something
like the Adaptec Nodem that hooks onto a SCSI port, but they are usually
more than twice the price of the internal ethernet cards, which sort of
defeats the purpose in getting the lower cost Mac Classic, doesn't it.
Why couldn't Apple have left in the SE expansion slot? Apple strikes
again!
