Thanks to all who posted about which Mac telcomm programs support Xmodem 1K. I now have Versaterm Pro 3.0.1 and MacTerminal 3.0, both of which are very nice terminal programs. Except... I can't get Xmodem 1K to work at all on sends from the Mac to any other machine to which I have access. Receives work fine; I have successfully sent files from a Commodore 128, CP/M, and DOS machine to both VT and MT using Xmodem 1K. I have never gotten 1K sends to work in any configuration, to any program on either of the afore-mentioned systems (C-128, CP/M, DOS)--the transfer uses 128-byte packets "from the get-go". I am using "straight" Xmodem (i.e., not MacTerminal or MacBinary). I have tried both "Text Xmodem", "Binary Xmodem", and all Ymodem flavors on Versa- term Pro. Does anyone have any ideas? This seems particularly troubling since MacTerminal uses Apple's new Comm. Toolbox... one would think that the 1K Xmodem in the Comm. Toolbox would be "right". Can anyone from Apple comment on the spec that was followed in implementing the 1K Xmodem? Thanks!
