Has anyone experienced the following problem; and, did you find a way to fix it? : A Mac user here is running NCSA Telnet 2.3 on her Mac II w/ an Apple Portrait Monitor, plenty of Ram, Multifinder, System 6.0.4, Finder 6.1. She has the telnet window cover the length of the portrait screen (50 usable lines). When she has one connection open and clicks in the scroll bar while in the vi editor, her mac dies with a system bomb, id = 12 (Unimplemented core routine). It only happens when she is in vi, and changing the number of usable lines doesn't seem to help. we have tried changing the number of scroll back lines as well as increasing the memory allocated to telnet. The only things that seem to prevent the problem are: not clicking in the scrollbar, or opening a second connection. with more than one connection open, the problem doesn't happen. I couldn't reproduce the error on my mac (color 13" monitor, multifinder, etc.) Any tips would be greatly appreciated -- please send e-mail to jaya@ra.src.umd.edu *********************************** Jaya Kanal, Systems Research Center U of MD College Park
