I spent most of Saturday trying to set up a Mac shop with a Usenet/mail feed using uAccess. The only modem they have available is a NetModem connected to a file server (Appleshare? I dunno, I'm a UNIX guy :-). Also, the use of uAccess directly on the file server is not an option. We are able to connect fine thru the fileserver to AppleLink, so I assume the AppleLink software is "NetModem aware". I was unable to get uAccess to recognize the NetModem driver (which was set to emulate the modem port). Question: Is it possible to get uAccess to work with this sort of setup? Or are my Mac friends gonna have to invest in another modem to use with the machine which will dial out using uAccess to grab news? (I don't even know if the NetModem can be used as a non-Netmodem; one guy who was in at work didn't think so, and he'd know better than me; I also don't know if that's an option for them.) Any help will be greatly appreciated. I follow this group, but email always saves bandwidth. I promise to summarize if there's interest. == -- Jeff Jones uunet!virtech!jcj Virtual Technologies, Inc. 46030 Manekin Plaza, Suite 160 Sterling, VA 22170 (703) 430 9247 "This song don't have a video, you'll have to pay attention." --- LWIII
