I've been having a problem with the spacing of the display font with Telnet. I've tried this on 2.4 and 2.4b8 and it "fails" on both versions. What is happening is if I use a Type 1 font (specifically Courier), the characters are not rendered cleanly when I enter them. If I scroll up and down in the window, they are rendered cleanly when the screen is redrawn, but the cursor and edges are now off (the text will run off the right side of the window if it is that long, and the text entry cursor will be to the left of the last character of the last line). Yes, I am running ATM and yes, the distance between the cursor and the last character of the last line is proportionaly to the length of the last line. On the notion that perhaps there was an interaction problem between Telnet and ATM, I switched to Monaco, but using Monaco I get a different problem. Instead of rendering the characters next to each other, Telnet insists on putting a few extra points of space between the characters. While this is at least rendered cleanly, I can't use a 12 point Monaco font because the session window is too big for a 19" screen. Help! Disclaimer: 'Dis is soup. 'Dis is Art. Soup. Art.
