I have a general comm question.  Let's say that you have a front-end mailer
for the Mac, and it's answering a picking up the phone.  The mailer determines
that the incoming call is determined for the board (running in the
backround)... how does it pass control of serial port over to the Board?

It is better on the Mac for the BBS to launch Tabby...that way nothing will have to be re-written (or launch your new thing, just call it TabbyNet :-)  )
