My department has a need for software to allow us to print files from a single Mac (with an ethernet card) to a postscript printer on a UNIX network (specifically a NeXT laser printer, but we've got Suns and HPs on our network). A number of products let you go the other way (such as products from InterCon and Wollongong). But I just saw mention in UNIX Today! that Mt. Xinu has a product called Ktalk that seems to be Appletalk for Suns or HPs. There's also something called KSpool would make the NeXT's printer look like any other Appletalk printer to the Mac user. Anyone had any experience with these products? With one Mac, we're looking for a solution that's more price effective than buying a Gatorbox etc. NeXT is making noise about supporting Appletalk in the near future, so I guess another alternative is to wait.
