Where should I look for the most recent version of BYU's varient of NCSA telnet (includes FTP client)? I didn't find it on zaphod yesterday or sumex this morning. I've been trying NCSA 2.4B7 and it appears to cure a nasty problem I had with incorrect screen updates when telneting to our local VAXen and using EVE as my mail editor. I'd like to replace the current version we distribute, BYU 2.3.4 with one based on NCSA 2.4. FYI, problem was that under certain circumstances, cursoring up would result in a blank line apparently being inserted into the text instead of the cursor moving up. Control-W however to refresh the screen revealed that the true state of affairs was that the cursor had indeed moved up. Also FYI, SU MacIP does not exhibit this problem. We have users, however, that are used to BYU or prefer its 'Print selection' command. -Rich Haller -Network Services User Support -University of Oregon
