I have been trying to follow the net diligently (really, I have...), but I've never seen a satisfactory explanation of whether or not it is possible to use slip in a version of NCSA Telenet or other software to make a TCP/IP connection to the net. I have dial-up access to a cisco server that will run slip, and access to a UNIX account (obviously). Is it possible to get my Mac to comunicate in TCP/IP over the serial line while connnected to the cisco server? Do I still need the MacTCP driver installed? Please E-mail me if this has already been anwered to everyone else's satisfaction. Thanks in advance. b. -- %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% mm mmm % brosser@cue.bc.ca,brosser@uvcw.UVic.ca % m m m m % Exemplary Center For Interactive Technology % m m m m m % Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada % m
