I need to backup three macs (hooked to the ethernet) on to a tape drive on a vms machine. I talked to digital and they recommended pathworks. The catch to that is that my department would have to buy the license to the program which means lots o'bucks. UCSB is in the process of getting a site license to MacX. Since this can be distributed throughout the university, my department has a chance of going in on this and getting MacX. The question is: Can MacX let me be able to backup my macs up to the tape drive hooked up to the vms machine? I would love to have MacX anyway, but I need a reason to justify the need of MacX. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks in advance! Jason S. White -- Jason S.
