Joe, what you are looking for you will find it at Distributed Technologies Corporation 275 Wyman Street Waltham MA 02154 Phone: (617) 684-0060 Last year they announced an Network Management tool for appleTalk called TalkManage that allows you to monitor an appleTalk Network, dynamically map your network topology of all your network visible entities, set up network event alarms on any visible entity across the entire internet ( So you can tell if it is still online or it went down), remotely manage routers, and of course gatorBoxes, and also collect and process traffic statistical information (TalkStat) on the appletalk. It also includes an appleTalk packet decoder which actually gives a meaningful interpretation to appleTalk packet headers such as source socket destination socket lap type ddp type etc. TalkManage also can come optionally equiped with a notification system that allows system administrations to make any network management changes known to other users on the network. regards george
