I am looking for information on travel by private rail car
in the USA and Canada. Any info from someone who has traveled
by private car is welcome; also info from anyone about prices,
routes, etc.
My tentative plans are for travel from Massachusetts to Calgary,
Alberta in February of 1988, returning in March. I haven't
decided whether I would prefer to make most of the journey
in Canada or the USA.
Right now it's just idle speculation; with more info I can
make more definite plans.

Private Varnish Magazine usually lists this information. It is available from PTJ Publishing in Park Forest, IL. (I don't have an issue handy or I'd give you an address.) Chuck
