I have a problem with MacTCP. I have long used NCSA Telnet 2.3 (non-MacTCP version) via a gatorbox without any problem. Recently we attempted to ungrade to 2.4 so we installed the MacTCP. While it worked fine with the other Mac SE's (also connected to the same gatorbox), the one with SE30 often gaves errorous file transfer and was totally unreliable. There was no error message, the number of bytes seemed to be correct, but the conversion from .hqx to .sit indicated that the file has been damaged. Checking the files I found in one case that there was a wrong byte. Try with a Telnet 2.3 (MacTCP version) also failed. Series line Kermit always works, but it's too slow. I know how to set file type appropriately. Can anyone give hints? thanks in advance, Ken H. Lin khlin@uiwpl.ece.uiuc.edu
