[comp.sys.mac.comm] Help! We need recommendations for TCP/IP software!

pas1@unhd.unh.edu (Paul A Simoneau) (05/02/91)

I am at a site at which we are beginning to make use of Ethernet cards
in our Macs. I have browsed the nets somewhat and found some apps
which seem pretty handy (NCSA Telnet/FTP 2.3 and HyperFTP 1.3). Are
there any commercially and/or public domain programs out there that
I should be aware of? Something which emulates an interactive session
with a TEK 41xx page (unlike NCSA 2.3 which is not entirely interactive)
would be really nice. Thanx.

Yes!! Contact InterCon about TCP/Connect II. It's an awesome program and
features telnet, slip, lots of different terminal emulations, ftp, nntp, and
pop mail. You can get either the whole package or a subset of these features
if you don't need everything. You may also be able to get an evaluation
copy from them to try it first.

I don't have their phone number handy, but you can try writing to
kdb@intercon.com, and/or if Kurt is watching maybe he'll followup to this
message with contact information.
