[ this message is only relevant to users of the ADB-Teleport modem from Global Village Communiations ...] I bought one of those modems early on last year and given that the software has still not "settled" and has gone from versions 1.0 to 1.05 with 1.06 scheduled for release in May, I contacted Global and obtained their permission to make their communication software available for ANON-FTP from my Macintosh archives on RASCAL.ICS.UTEXAS.EDU [128.83.138.20] in directory mac/support-of-products/GlobalVillage Global routinely makes the latest beta version available on America Online (to which I do not have access myself at this time, but others have been forwarding the latest files to me recently) and there is a good chance that they will send me future updates on floppy so I can upload the software directly to RASCAL. It requires that you know the validation code for your particular modem to be able to install the FAX-software, and you can obtain that code from GLOBAL either by phone or by email, indicating the serial- number on your modem.
