We have just installed EtherShare on our micro VAX running Ultrix. The AppleShare server part works like a dream, but using the PrinterServer barely works at all. We have three printers hooked on to our AppleTalk network, one old LaserWriter Plus, one LaserWriter IINTX, and a Tektronix postscript color printer. Printing (when it works) takes a long time, but most of the time it doesn't work at all, and we just can't find out why. We have talked with other users of EtherShare on Suns, and they do not experience any printing problems at all. We have also talked with one user that runs EtherShare under Ultrix, they have experienced printing problems, but very sporatically and they didn't consider it a problem. Does anyone have experience using EtherShare under Utrix, and has anyone experinced similar printing problems?? I would appreciate any help.
