Good Morning! I am consulting with a large company that wishes to provide IP access to its employees' homes. Some of these machines will likely be Macintoshes and they have decided to use either Serial Line IP (SLIP) or the Point to Point Protocol (PPP). I have not been able to find any TCP/IP package for the Mac that uses either of these protocols (though my search has just begun :-) but I am aware that A/UX comes with a SLIP driver. However, I need something that will work under the Finder rather than from Unix. If you have any information about such a package, please e-mail or post it here along with whether it is PD or proprietary, and how to obtain it. Thanks in advance, Scott M. Ballew Purdue University

TCP/Connect II contains SLIP, no PPP yet, but it has been announced that it will contain PPP in the future. Contact sales at 703.709.9890 anytime, well between 9-5 east coast time. There is also a version of NCSA Telnet that contains SLIP you can get it from cisco I think. Kurt Baumann 703.709.9890 InterCon Systems Corp. Creators of fine TCP/IP products for the Macintosh

I had this question asked me the other day, so I'm passing it along to here where someone might know the answer. Is there a version of SLIP (Serial Line Internet Protocol) for the Mac II. The person who asked needs something to tie a Mac IIcx to the serial port on a sun SparcStation.
