[comp.sys.mac.comm] advanced telnet features

jqj@duff.uoregon.edu (JQ Johnson) (05/22/91)

I am looking for Mac telnet clients that support various modern telnet
features. Since it doesn't look to me as if any of the current players in
this game (NCSA, MacIP, Intercon, Versaterm, etc.) currently support them,
I'd also be very interested in data indicating that development work was
in progress or at least that one of the developers was actively
participating in the IETF Telnet WG. Specifically, I'm interested in:

1/ full linemode support (RFC1116), preferably tested against the Borman
4.4bsd telnetd. including negotiated local editing characters

2/ support for AUTHENTICATION and ENCRYPTION options

3/ support for authentication using Kerberos version 5

4/ NAWS (RFC1073)

5/ IP TOS support. IP source routing support (I don't really want this
one, but would be interested in knowing if anyone is working on it)

Reply by mail and I'll summarize to comp.sys.mac.comm.
