i would like to buy some terminal emulator/comm package so my mac can talk to the net more effectively. i can plug my mac directly into my school's network through the modem port. so i've basically got a serial connection through which i can get to a campus mainframe, and from there communicate on internet. i understand all the basics of ftp'ing, binhex, etc. where i get slowed down is having to kermit from the mainframe to my mac at a measly 2400 baud. is there any software out there that will let my mac transfer to and from the host mainframe at a faster rate? the campus network is rated for 9600 baud. any assistance will be greatly appreciated. - tom willett gt4586c@prism.gatech.edu -- thomas willett Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta gt4586c@prism.gatech.edu "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." - Salvor Hardin (Foundation)
