[comp.sys.mac.comm] MacKermit Bites, What is Better?

nrcarl@ac.dal.ca (Paul Kowalski) (06/06/91)

Here's a novice-type Mac Comm. question. I'm using MacKermit 0.9 on a MacIIci to interface with the Dal U VAX via 1200 baud modem, and I'm finding the program pretty limited.
Is there a freeware or shareware program which emulates a VT100 as
nicely as MacKermit but has more features? If so, where can I download it or get it? I've got RedRyder 10.something and its VT100 emulation sucks,
bigtime.
Thanks, advance-like

You'll probably get more helpful responses if you indicate just what it
is that you mean by "more features".

Built-in can opener?
Trash masher?
:-)

I was hoping to get a comm program/oxy-acetylene cutting torch/bar
fridge but I'd survive if the Ideal program had text capture/archiveing
and a more forgiving text editor and macros and enlargable text box and my two front teeth.

Thanks for the flame(lite)
