[comp.sys.mac.comm] LeeMail 1.1 is available

laf@mitre.org (Lee Fyock) (06/13/91)

LeeMail 1.1 has been officially released and is in the sumex and umich
archive queues. If anyone needs 1.1 sooner than they will be ftp'able,
please send me some mail.

For those of you that missed 1.0, LeeMail is a MacTCP-based SMTP mailer
for the Mac. LeeMail acts like a "regular" internet host when sending
and receiving mail. No dedicated servers (even on a unix machine) are
needed.

Some changes and new features between 1.0 and 1.1:

All windows are movable, resizable and zoomable.
Multiple incoming and outgoing mail windows.
Mail receipt (and sending, to a lesser extent) occurs in the background.
1.1 runs on 68000-based machines.
Aliases for long email addresses.
Reply with auto-quoting of mail.
Save/Append mail to files.
Read/Delete multiple pieces of mail simultaneously.
Better conformance to the RFC.
Better error checking.
Many user interface tweaks.
LeeMail 1.1 is shareware, $10. :-)

LeeMail runs under 7.0 and is 32-bit clean. If you have any questions,
please mail me at the address below.

Thanks!
