elson@otc.otca.oz.au (Elson Markwick) (06/18/91)
We are trying to get a Hypercard stack running that involves MacTCP calls.
The problem is that I can't seem to get timeouts to work properly (at all :-).
OK, so I've put a value in the ULP time-out byte of the parameter block (byte
32), and set the validity bits (byte 34) to 0xC0. Nothing changes - machine just
appears to hang during say a TCPSend, if the ethernet is broken, and won't come
back until the ethernet is reconnected.
FYI - we are using Hypercard 2.0v2, MacTCP 1.0
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Elson
