We are planning an upgrade to our Mac II's (x,cx,ci,si,fx) for local and MacX use. We would like to avoid purchase of expensive large colour displays and try a combination of 14" colour display + large two-page BW display for X-terminal use (MacX). However, one of our people has tested MacX with a SE30 + colour display combination and he reports the MacX sets the display properties according to the lowest capability display in the system thus preventing the use of MacX colour capabilities. Is there something we have overlooked and/or can this be circumvented somehow? The ability to use colour would be somewhat crucial? Tero Siili Finnish Meteorological Institute
