[net.railroad] Railroad only, please! - Hear, Hear

Burton.osbunorth@Xerox.ARPA (01/04/86)

This whole discussion reminds me of business meetings at the ERA in New
York in the early 60's. We didn't see many slides or discuss many route
changes, but we sure learned about Robert's Rules of Order.

I assume that this list is a bit of an anarchy. It seems that no one
can actually be stopped from putting in a non-railroad item. However,
if people pollute it with non-railroad items, then the people who put in
the good railroad stuff will simply leave. A sort of Gresham's Law
applied to news notes.

I for one will zap out without reading or replying to any non-railroad
item.

Let's discuss signalling on the New York subway and Amtrak schedule
changes. Both lots more fun.
