A year and a week ago my parents gave me Spectrum Holobyte's Vette as a birthday present (well, they gave me a certificate for it). I have been bugging Spectrum Holobyte ever since about when they would release it and as of a month ago I was told "mid-September." Well, my parents called ComputerWare in Palo Atlo, CA (the best Macintosh store) and they said the new shipment date is November 19!! What's going on! I first saw the ad for this game around August of 1989. I've been in love since. Anyone know what's going on with Vette?? -- | Adam Talcott | Not a bad bit of rescuing, | | talcott@nunki.usc.edu | huh? Looks to me like Spectrum Holobyte (or Sphere--whatever they call themselves these days) has sold out to the IBM. What happened to creating games on the mac and porting them to the ibm? The beta version I saw wasn't too impressive. Then again, Test Drive isn't too impressive. They've been promising Vette for years now...I wouldn't get my hopes up about that November release. They also announced a color version of Falcon for the mac. I wouldn't get my hopes up over that either. Sphere had great promise, but they decided to support IBM. Although I'm angry, I can understand that...there's probably more money in making games for IBM. ins_apw@jhunix.HCF.JHU.EDU <--use this address, not the UUCP one
