[comp.sys.mac.games] sound on Crystal Quest 2.2c on an SE/30 -- help

Using Crystal Quest 2.2c on an SE/30 under Finder, I find that I cannot
rely on getting any sound, although there is no trouble with sound
on the Sample program.  Launching the Sound file launches the Sample.
Moving the Sample out of the computer does result in the Sound file
launching the full Crystal Quest program, but no sound ?!!?

Any clues?
