[comp.sys.mac.games] How I got Armor Alley

es1o+@andrew.cmu.edu (Eric Mitchell Snider) (09/21/90)

I just received Armor Alley today from MacZone. I don't have the
number with me right now. I saw their ad in MacWorld... It was $33 +
$3 shipping. It supports 4 bit color and black & white. Basically it's
like Rescue Raiders for the Apple II(Which was a lot of fun).
Although the game is pretty entertaining, there are a few things I'm
not very happy about. I can't get it to run under Multifinder. (It
runs my hard drive for a couple seconds and then beeps and exits back to
finder) I couldn't get it to run until I turned off a bunch of my
inits. I called the company (Three-Sixty) when I was having trouble and
the person I talked to wasn't entirely helpful. I asked when they would
get back to me (I had just given them my address and phone #) and he
said they'd call me in the next week or not at all. Awesome.

p.s. If you've played any of my games (Forty Thieves, Montana, and
Baker's Dozen) and you have some comments or suggestions, please write
me!

Hmmm... That's funny. It ran under MF just fine for me. The animation was a
bit choppy, to be sure, but it ran. I also run with a huge number of INITs,
and I didn't have any INIT conflicts. Maybe you're running some mean INITs?
