Simpathetic friends - In case you've been wondering, here is the latest on the various SimThings, as reported to me by developers and publishers SimEarth: Probable release date - late November; "definitely by Christmas" The SimCity Planning Handbook: published in August and available SimCity add-ons (Graphics Sets 1 & 2): to be released early November Remember, I'm Simply reporting the data - not responsible for any disSimilarity between claims and reality.

This is REALLY weird, but my 10-year old brother, who recently purchased
SimCity Supreme, has created a very succesful city by building a Stadium
with a surrounding park when initially zoning, then building commercial
zones around it and residential zones around that, then shunting industries
off into the nether regions somewhere. Weird. But he does have "No
Disasters" set, so I suppose it works....
Neat idea for an addition to the game: A city council determined to block
everything the mayor does.....
