SPOILER AHEAD! Maybe I'm just stating the obvious, but I've found a way to get effectively unlimited money in Citadel. When in the village, go to the Nursery and create a few new characters whose parents are Noble, Lady, Merchant, or Shopkeeper. Those parents leave a big inheritance. Take them, one or two or three at a time, to the Bank. Transfer their money to the characters in need. Then, go back to the Tavern and delete them. Keep on doing this until you have as many gold pieces as necessary. I find this technique very useful if most of my party is dead. Ressurection is not cheap! I rationalize this to myself as not cheating, since I have a thief in my party. This is just a way of giving him something to do when he's not adventuring.
