Well, I have it, and, well, it's Wizardry. First off: BUGS! yes, there are some annoying bugs, mostly with transferring characters over. Basically, what was happening was when I transferred all 20 of my characters from my old scenario (BTW: you can't read them in from an old backup... most annoying), all their weapons & stuff were unequipped. The problem came in when I tried to equip some of the cool things, like Lords' Armor or a Shuriken, things with magical properties. If you envoke them, the thing simply goes away. I basically ended up fiddling around with equipping it and not envoking powers, and then re-equipping with powers. But it is very annoying. Next: the only real differences between old Wiz & Wiz II are these: The Maze is more graphical (a bit better than M & M IMHO) In combat: the back windows don't go away the icon for monsters move there's only one picture of a chest when there is one other than that, it's pretty much the same set-up. As to the new scenario: I've been playing it for a few days with my ultra-beefy characters, and I've gotten 4 out of I believe 5 things to win the game (about 4-5 hours playing). Not much of a challenge... my biggest problem is finding my way in dark areas. BTW: you can't make new guys, you have to have made them in Wiz I. Another annoyance, but one I can live with. that's all for now... a better review when I finish it. ...they call me fluppie... \ ARPA: es2q@andrew.cmu.edu Fido: 129/107 BBS: Mac @ Night (412) 268-5534 / \ GEnie: E.SELBERG Delphi: LORDERIK CIS: 71470,2127 MacList: 6009/1 /
