[comp.sys.mac.games] Mac Golf Games: MacGolf, MacGolf Classic, Mean 18 and Jack N. Great 18

moriarty@tc.fluke.COM (Jeff Meyer) (12/04/90)

Well, Christmas time again, and my father is looking for a good golf game
for his Mac Plus. He's mentioned "PGA Tour Golf", but I believe that this
is for the IBM, and not the Mac. (Am I correct?) Which leaves the
following four games I've been able to find:

    * MacGolf
    * MacGolf Classic
    * Mean 18
    * Jack Nicholas' Great 18

Does anyone have any opinions on which of these are the best/worst Mac golf
games? If so, I'd like to hear from you -- good or bad points about any of
these games. (However, this is strictly for a Mac Plus, i.e. 9 inch B&W, so
color features won't matter to him.)

[I'd appreciate it if you could e-mail me your answers at the address below;
 our site gets news out quickly, but we've got near a two-week delay for
 inbound news. I'll be happy to summarize any comments and post them to
 this group.]

Thanks much in advance!

                            Everybody *run*."

Speaking of golf games, a friend of mine (actually two of them) have the
game Zany Golf (on the Apple IIgs and an IBM). Does anyone know if there
is a version out for the Mac, and if so, how I can find it?

Thanks
