While reading the bulletin today, the talk of old Davenports jarred my memory on an abondoned train. While living in Montgomery Ala, I came across two GE Loco's, a tank car and an old heavy weight diner sitting on a disconnected siding. The GE's (I beleive) were 44 and 55 tonners. They were built in the early forties and appeared that they may have belong to the US government although the closest government installation is 30 miles away. They were still there as of June 84 and if anyone is interested I can give them dirrections. I took about 20 pictures and have them buried somewhere in my files. If any one is interested I can furnish them copies (I think I took pictures of the builders plates also).
