Many of you may have discovered RoboWar on a BBS since I finished it a few months ago. In RoboWar, you program your robot to move about an arena and fight other people's robots. So far I've gotten a very exciting response from people who have enjoyed/been addicted to the game. If you love to hack, be sure to get it. RoboWar is available from anonymous ftp at sumex-aim.stanford.edu or at any of many bulletin boards. It is a shareware program. I am asking $10, which I feel is very reasonable, especially since it entitles you to updates and information about all future tournaments. If you can't find RoboWar anywhere else, send me a check for $10 and I'll mail you a copy. There is a RoboWar tournament coming up January 16. Robots from all around the country will be competing for awards in several categories. Perhaps you'll win money; at the very least you'll win glory and the knowledge of how your favorite robot stacks up against everyone elses. Drop me some email if you'd like a copy of the tournament rules. Happy hacking, David Harris harrisd@athena.mit.edu
