When I updated my IIci from 6.0.3 to 6.0.7 system software (so I could run Hypercard 2.0), Darwin's Dilemma stopped working. It no longer makes sounds, and the icon explosion that happens when you push something so that it wraps around and clobbers you from behind now gets a "System error -- unimplemented trap". Does this suggest anything to anyone? The vendor's support service is closed until afgter New Year's, so I thought I'd ask here... thanks, scott -- scott preece motorola/mcd urbana design center 1101 e. university, urbana, il 61801 uucp: uunet!uiucuxc!udc!preece, arpa: preece@urbana.mcd.mot.com

You probably need to convert the game's sounds to the format compatible with the new Sound Manager. To do this, get a copy of Sound Mover 1.62 or later (available by anonymous ftp from sumex-aim and other places). Open a *copy* of the game in Sound Mover and copy the sounds into a new file. Copy the sounds back into the game, replacing the ones currently there. This may fix your problem, if the game's copy protection doesn't complain about changing the program.
