I have recently found a very easy way to win at Harpoon in one of the scenario in the GIUK scenario. At the scenario where you have to recapture Iceland with your battlegroup that consist of the Nimitz CVN and the VLS Tico CG, all you have to do is to ferry your entire inventory of bombers and attackers (A-6 Intruders, and F/A-18 Hornets) and probably a wing of jamming aircrafts (Prowlers) to the nearby base. From there you can refuel and arm yourself with Standoff weapons and anti-radar missiles to destroy the base at Iceland. This way, I found out, is the most effective way in completing this scenario, since it takes minimal time, thus the submarine threat is at minimal. Also the Russians have a tougher time to discover your exact position.
