I have been playing Moria for a long time. I have gotten down to 1550 feet. And the undead keep draining experience points from me. I can't find many restore life level potions, so is there any thing else I can do??? Bye the way, where can I find the latest version (ftp please)??? Can I transfer my character to the later versions??? Thanks for your help. Bye. Brian Lara

The latest version is 5.2, and the ftp site is kukulcan.berkeley.edu. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scott Forbes Clint Eastwood stars in _Dirty Hamlet_ : forbes@csrd.uiuc.edu "To be or not to be... strustee@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu you've got five seconds to decide, punk!"

I usually managed to find a way to crash moria or get pissed off at something that happened, like the undead draining lots of levels without much ability to fight back. That, and the huge amount of time spent hacking away at things and haggling with those stupid shopkeepers eventually turned me off. Now that I think about, the bugs I encountered seemed to come after the undead had affected me, like once a number of levels were drained from a magic using character and when I restored life levels, my intelligence was too low to regain the spells. I thought, OK, no problem, I need the restore intelligence potion. I got one and then moria hung up apparently because I was eligible to relearn all of my spells (I was at experience level 15 to 20, somewhere in that range, so I could learn lots of spells.) This may not be the exact sequences since I haven't played moria in a while, but you get the idea. As for what to do about you're problem, the best thing I found was to try to advance down the levels slowly so that you've got a better chance of finding a magic weapon that vanquishes undead or find a ring that lets you see invisible monsters so you at least know which direction to strike at. Maybe the hard core moria fans will have better suggestions. I've sworn moria off. --Russell all of my spells. Something like that. Anayway
