My thanks to James Wong, Anton Sanderfoo, and Stephen Smith for pointing me to the table on the back of my manual which shows (quite plainly) that half-elves can only advance as far as 5th level as a cleric. As to my human cleric, it turns out that Pool of radiance won't let you progress farther than sixth level.... Ken Anderson
