Does anyone know the answer to the question "What was once hot, then cold. Serves good and evil alike and can bestow death and honor"? What is the golden apple for? what do the 2 chalices do for you? How do you use the flute? T.C.

Here's some hints:
What was once hot, then cold...
think "metal"
...can bestow death and honor?
think "knight"
(I'll give you more if this doesn't help)
golden apple / 2 chalices -> damned if I know, but I solved the game
without them.
To use the flute:
put it in an open hand, then double-click it. You should get a big
flute on the screen.... just start pushing buttons. You'll need to
somewhere in the game.

I need some help on Citadel. I bought the game, and the secrets book. But I still can't figure out one thing: what is the answer to the skull's question:
You must know whence I came to this Keep". I tried 53 years ago, 53 years
before err what was the guy's name... well I re-read the secret's book,
and the manual, but I can't figure out the answer...

the question "From whence I came..." is better read "From when I
came..." I word, and it's in the manual (the story thing in the
front)

I hope that some kind soul can help me out here: 1. How do I give gold to the fortune-teller (hag)? I tried many things and nothing seems to work. I even tried throwing the gold at her in combat... How much gold is necessary? I tried with a bag of 20 and then a bag of 100. Argh! 2. Every time a combat ends and then the Levitas spell wears off immediately, the program hangs nicely. A bunch of random characters appear in the items window for ever. It does this under System 6.0.4 and 6.0.7 under Finder with no INITs. Has anyone had the same problem? The work-around I use is to cast Levitas again just before the combat ends. Not fun. Thanks for any help. Floyd att!homxb!fmg
