[comp.sys.mac.games] OIDS and MaxAppleZoom

OIDS is supposed to work, virtually regardless of your
screen configuration;
When you use OIDS w/ MaxAppleZoom, you get a funky
"strobe light" flickering effect -- it's weird.

Don't know if the author of MAZ can do anything about this;
it seems that OIDS is making [use of and] assumptions as to the
availability of the extra RAM on a Toby Frame Buffer card...

Just thought I'd give my two cents.
BTW, if you like to conserve disk space, and don't use the
control panel interface to MaxAppleZoom, just strip it all out --
all the 'DITL' stuff, etc. Just keep the 'sysz,' and other related
resources.

If you're using 7.0betaX, make the id's all 128 -- not -4064,
and include the 'cicns' (leave them in). This way, the 'cicn'
will not show on startup (hence bomb), nor will the ugly ICN#
counterpart (yeah!), and all will be well 'icl8/etc' wise for your
finder views. Oh, make it of type 'INIT' (change the bundle, etc.)
