Bane of the Cosmic Forge, like other ported games, does not meet the high quality that one would expect from an original program on the mac. But, I think it's still pretty good. It's capabilities and size is very similar to Curse of the Azure Bonds. Bane does run on System 7. And you can turn off the annoying sound (this makes the game run faster *somewhat*). I don't think it's worth the money, but, it's not as bad as what some other posters said. I thought it would be 8-bit color, and that was a REAL disappointment. The new format (for the Mac-users) is pretty cool; there're more races, and spells. I don't know...the simple but excellent Wizardry: Proving Grounds was more exciting and easier to play. Overall, it's good but not up to expectations. Has anyone played Dragon's Lair II, StarGlider II on the Mac? Thanks for any info.
