There was finally some interest stirred up in Wizardry lately... ...and I have some questions. After winning the game 2 or 3 years ago, I dusted off my Wizardry disk and started anew. (Luckily the version works on a iicx). I never new of the tricks mentioned by some people and had to test them out. First, the replication of an item. I tried and it works, but it only seems to work on certain levels or for certain level characters. Are there any more neat tricks? Does anyone have a map to the maze on level 1? Once on my way back from the elevator I took a turn too soon. Lo and behold I enter a room with something on the floor. Before I am able to move a magician pops out of nowhere, says some magic words and POOF! I am back to the castle. Are there other interesting things like this in the maze? What are the keys used for? What is the statuette of the frog used for? What the the most unique items in the game that are useful? (i.e. armor, weapons, etc.) -- Mark G. Werdna comes back in "THe return of Werdna," which I believe is only available on Apple ][s. If you want it for the Mac, call Sir-tech and maybe they`ll pay me to do the port. [Can you say, "fat chance?"] Anyway, the numebr is 315-393-6633. It may be available for the <gasp> PC, but I don't think so. In the return of Werdna, you play Werdna. the story is you were quietly minding your own business, having a chat with a Vampire Lord or two, when you were attacked for no reason by an unknown group of adventurers. YOu lose conciousness and wake, naked in a four by four room with no doors, somewhere deep in a castle. You have to get out using temporary help from baddies that you can summon, but you encounter more groups of goddy-goody adventurers on the way. [BY the way, these groups were developed from actual groups sent in by users of the other Wizardry games.] SOunds like fun, but I was never able to finish it on my old slow Apple ][ with many disk swaps required. -- Terry Monks Automata Design Inc (703) 472-9400

I've just started to play Wizardry myself and I desperately need clues, hints, etc. Can someone guide me to an anonymous ftp site where I could download hints or clues? Thanks you in advance. dmoon@phoenix.princeton.edu
