[net.railroad] Chicago turnaround; hoosac tunnel

rees@apollo.uucp (Jim Rees) (01/30/86)

Regarding the train turnaround in Chicago: Last time I took the train to
Chicago was about a year ago, and at that time they drove the whole train
onto a siding and then backed it into the station. Don't know if that is
normal or not.

On February 22 I'm taking the Berkshire Flyer through the Hoosac Tunnel.
Will report back here if there is any interest. Any other net.railfans
planning to make this trip?
