Applying For Membership Membership in the GAMER Project, annually is: US $15, Canada $17, International $21 ($3 discount coupon available from participating shareware authors if you register a program (*with a minimum shareware fee of $3). Shareware authors of Mac entertainment, game educational, and children's software will have access to the GAMER Project BBS regardless of whether they become members of the GAMER Project, as will official representatives of companies which develop commercial entertainment and educational software. Dues for shareware authors is discounted 50% off the regular membership rate. Checks may be made out to "GAMER Project" and mailed to "15 Everglades St., Kenner, LA 70065. A member survey will then be mailed to new members to discover preferences as regards topics to be covered in Home & School Mac and types of shareware programs to be included on the disk mailed bi-montly to members. The GAMER Project is seeking official status from Apple Corp. as a registered user group and will be established as a non-profit corporation (so that we can take advantage of non-profit organization mailing rates) should the membership continue to increase. The group is governed by a 5 member Board of Directors whose talents and service to the Macintosh game/education community will insure that the GAMER Project both provides a quality user group experience for its members and promotes the prosperity of shareware authors & commercial developers alike. An Advisory Board has been appointed by the Board of Directors, and additional advisors will be appointed as the need arises. Members of the Advisory Board come from all backgrounds: shareware authors, educators, commercial developers, commercial/hobbyist sysops, and user groups. The Board of Directors encourages close ties with representatives of every developer of Mac entertainment, education, children's software, playing no favorites with any particular developer or commercial information service.
