[comp.sys.mac.games] ftp...

I have been having problems with getting demos to run. I go to the ftp sites
and get a game from them to my unix account. Then, using MacKermit version 8
or 9, I download it to my cutting edge hard drive. Afterwards, I convert the
downloaded file with BinHex 5.0 to an application. I try running it after
the conversion and only get a message that says that the application is missing
or busy. I have a SE with 1 meg, and use system v.6.0.7. Can anyone help me
out? I've tried this with pararena, solarian, robowars, and etc... everyone
of them does the same thing. Do I need BinHex 4.0? Does it matter that I use
5.0? I'd very much appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

The files are usually compressed in a format created by a package called
Stuffit. You should be able to get this on your campus. That should do the
trick.

Thank you all who replied to my question about how to ftp. Your suggestions
have worked wonderfully. Thank you again. One more question through...

How does one ftp a program with two parts? Do you have to go to an editor and
put them together before you de-binhex them? Any help is greatly appreciated.
