To get into the frenchman's room, you need to say snoopcheri, he should then open the door and let you come in. He will say, I am L'montes. You can talk to him if you want, but I eventually ended up killing him. When you kill him, you will find a silver key. This key will open up the gate that has the stuffed captain behind it (in the captain's den) Take the hook and the rope and you can get accross the chasm. > > Oh I just realized I didn't mention what game.
