I just bought SimEarth the other day and probably the most interesting facet of the game to me is that other species can become sentient (other than humans, that is). I would just like to know from other SimEarth players, who are most likely more experienced players than I, what beings have become sentient on your planets? Did these beings become sentient by accident or did you help them along? If you did help them, what did you do to help them? Did you change some part of the environment to better suit one species over the other? Did you kill off competing species with natural disasters, etc.?
