[comp.sys.mac.system] Printing raster image to Laserwriter from Word?

Hi All,

I have a program (Mishu, from Xanatech) which pastes chinese
characters into MS-Word. It's a really nice system, but since all
of the characters are stored as fonts (over 20 fonts!), when it
prints, it takes a ....loong... time. Basically what's happening
is that to print a single character, the laserwriter driver down-
loads the entire character set. This overwrites another
character set in the Lw's memory, which in turn has to be reloaded
shortly thereafter when another character from it is printed. I
don't think it would be feasible (if possible) to upgrade the LW's
memory to handle all of those fonts. So what I'd like to do is
have the Mac do all of the typesetting, and send a raster image
out to the Laserwriter as if it were an Imagewriter. I'd lose
quality, but at least people would still like me around here :)
Is it possible to do this?

If I could convert it within MS-Word, that might help too. I tried
converting the entire thing to a PICT document (cmd-shft-D), but that
apparently still retains font info.

It *is* possible to paste the characters as a graphic from Mishu,
but I would have to retype the entire list (many hours), and I would
lose a great deal of flexibility.

Any ideas?
