[comp.sys.mac.system] Funny Finder Bug

jmunkki@hila.hut.fi (Juri Munkki) (07/18/90)

Under MultiFinder, there's a funny bug in the Finder. To try it, put two
files or folders on the desktop and switch to some other application. Verify
that you clicking on these icons brings the Finder layer and selects the
clicked icon. Move the icons so that they overlap either totally or partially.
Switch to the other layer again and try to click on the part of the icons that
overlap.

My guess is that Finder is constructing a region, but the programmer forgot
that regions are XORed when created. Shouldn't this be fixed? I'm using
Finder 6.1.4.
