One thing that most people seem to have overlooked is that
MultiFinder 6.1b9 is _beta_ software. In particular, you
won't get any of the bug fixes that are present in the
System 6.0.5 MultiFinder release. For example, with MF 6.1b9
my Mac crashes into the debugger inside of VRemove quite often.
From reading the 6.0.5 change history, it appears that MF 6.0.5
fixes this problem.
I'm not trying to discourage anyone from using MF 6.1b9. (I'd
probably use it even if it wasn't required to run SADE--the
'Set Aside' feature is just _too_ handy.) But those who are
pleading for MF 6.1b9 should be aware that it's not as solid
as MF 6.0.5.
Would anyone 'in the know' care to reveal the released MultiFinder
version on which MF 6.1b9 is based? Was it MF 6.0.3 or MF 6.0.4?
Cheers,
Norm
